Our Mission

The Long Lake Flatwater Training Centre Society's mission is to develop, maintain and operate facilities and programs to improve the quality of life in Nanaimo, to pursue the highest goals of sports and fitness, to attract diverse involvement in the boathouse and related events that generate a positive public image and economic opportunity, and to promote the use and development of Long Lake as a world class urban flatwater racing and aquatics venue.
